MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA-The city of Mountain View plans to seek proposals for development of a piece of land near some of the largest tech employers in the Silicon Valley.
According to the Silicon Valley Business Journal, the city will within the next couple of weeks release a request for proposals for a 6.7-acre parcel at intersection of three major arteries: Highway 101, Moffett Boulevard and Highway 85. The city owns the land and would lease it to the developer.
Mountain Valley acquired the former Santa Clara County surplus land site, about 18 months ago. City officials say the site does not appear to need remediation.
The site does not include a Caltrans-owned parcel at the corner of Highway 101 and Moffett, nor does it include the PG&E substation at Moffett and 85.
