CHICAGO-Now that the holiday season has come to a close, two noted retailers have reportedly decided to shutter high-profile locations here.
Athletic gear and shoe retailer Puma has closed down its two-level, 7,900-square-foot store in the Block 37 mall in the Loop, while Eddie Bauer LLC is reportedly planning to shut down its Chicago flagship store at 600 N. Michigan Ave. later this month, according to Crain's Chicago Business.
Eddie Bauer, which is headquartered in Bellevue, WA, had no comment on the press reports of the closure of its Michigan Avenue store located on Chicago's noted Magnificent Mile. A published report says employees at the store were told the store will close on Jan. 19. See story in Crain's Chicago Business.
