ROHNERT PARK, CA-State Farm Insurance has sold a 283,230-square-foot office property here in Rohnert Park, CA, just north of San Francisco. The deal is considered one of San Francisco North Bay area's largest office sales transactions in 2013.
The buyer was JNI LLC (SunCal). The sale price of the property, which served as a former State Farm claims facility and call center, has not been disclosed.
According to Cushman & Wakefield, which advised State Farm on the transaction, the property sits on a 29.88-acre site at 6400 State Farm Dr.
The West Coast brokerage team on the deal was led by senior director Sean Heaton of the Portland, OR office. In addition to Heaton, other members of the Cushman & Wakefield brokerage team that advised on the transaction include: executive director Glen Dowling and director Tony Sarno of the San Rafael, CA office, and senior director Dennis Richardson of the Los Angeles West office.
The State Farm transaction was especially notable given the size of property and the fact that it was vacant and sold without any new entitlements, says Cushman & Wakefield.
