JACKSONVILLE-Local developer Mike Langton, managing partner of L.B. Jax Development LLC, has acquired the Old Republic Title Building here.
Old Republic Title Co. will move out of its namesake building at 120 E. Forsyth St. next month according to the Jacksonville Business Journal. Langton, which had been in contract on the property since August, paid $450,000 for the property.
Langton says he plans to perform interior demolition work on the first floor of the 11,000-square-foot building in order to redevelop the storefront space to accommodate a restaurant.
“I'm only going to accept a restaurant because that's what the highest and best use is,” Langton says. See story in the Jacksonville Business Journal.
