TUSTIN, CA-Coreland Cos., a full-service commercial real estate firm with expertise in management and brokerage of Southern California commercial properties, has hired veteran tenant rep Joseph Kim and junior associate John Heard to its retail-oriented brokerage department. Kim, who has nearly a decade of diverse commercial real estate experience, expands Coreland's menu of brokerage services.
Prior to joining Coreland, Kim served as senior retail advisor with Parker Commercial Brokerage in Lake Forest, where he focused on representing restaurant and retail concepts throughout Southern California. During his tenure, he completed lease transactions representing tenants such as Waba Grill Teriyaki House, Tutti Frutti Yogurt, G-Burger, Pieology (master franchisee), Pinkberry, Pho Hana, Pho Saigon and Niko Niko Sushi.
“Joseph is a seasoned broker who has successfully represented some of the fastest-growing retailers across Los Angeles County, Orange County and the Inland Empire,” says Steven Hogberg, SVP of brokerage for Coreland. “His regional expertise is something we value greatly, and we are pleased to enhance our brokerage capabilities with his addition.”
Heard, who serves as Coreland's associate of retail brokerage, is a 2013 graduate of the University of San Diego with a degree in Business Administration and Real Estate. During his college studies, he worked and interned at Baycrest Development Co., where he provided market analysis for the commercial property developer.

As GlobeSt.com reported in November 2013, Coreland's brokerage division was awarded five new retail leasing assignments in Southern California, including three in Orange County and two in Los Angeles County. The assignments are located in Montclair, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Orange and El Monte.
