PHILADELPHIA-The ownership of the Curtis Center office building here, which recently secured two major lease renewal deals, has been put on the market for sale.
The 13-story, 886,000-square-foot office building at 601 Walnut St. is owned by a fund managed by Apollo Global Real Estate of New York City. The building was sold back in 2006 for $94 million. The General Services Administration recently renewed its lease of 205,000 square feet and the Public Defender's Office renewed its 65,000-square-foot office at the building that is currently 85% leased.
The property has been put on the market several times in the past five years but each time failed to land a buyer, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal, which reports the property could attract an investment of near $135 million or higher.
CBRE's Robert Fahey, Jerry Kranzel and Francis Coyne are marketing the property. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
