NEW YORK CITY-More than 2,300 of commercial real estate's movers and shakers turned out for the industry's night of nights, the Real Estate Board of New York Annual Banquet. Judging by the noise level in the New York Hilton ballroom where the 118h Annual Banquet was held, 2014 will be a busy year for the industry.
While a Who's Who of industry luminaries attended the annual confab, as is customary it also attracted high-profile public officials. Among them: Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Bill de Blasio, Reps. Michael Grimm and Carolyn Maloney, and Patrick Foye, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
“The number of public and elected officials at the city, state, and federal levels who attend the Banquet each year is a true sign of the industry's importance to the City,” says REBNY president Steven Spinola. “We look forward to working with the new administration, accomplishing our goals, and seeing our members succeed in 2014.”
