LOS ANGELES-CBRE has promoted David Josker to managing director to lead its Los Angeles North region. The region includes more than 70 sales professionals in offices in Universal City and Ventura County, representing all of the firm's lines of business including leasing, sales, property management, debt and structured finance, project management, valuation and consulting.

Josker has more than 15 years of leadership and commercial real estate experience. He was most recently CBRE's managing director of asset services for Los Angeles, where he oversaw more than 90 million square feet under management throughout the county. He was responsible for leading more than 225 professionals, leading the platform for the service delivery of CBRE's largest institutional clients in Greater Los Angeles and Orange County.

Prior to joining CBRE in Los Angeles, Josker held a leadership role in the CBRE Phoenix office, where he successfully tripled the size of an asset-services business unit there. Prior to that, he served as VP for Caruso Affiliated Holdings, where he was responsible for executive-level supervision of the Los Angeles region.

“David has a deep understanding of our services platform and has demonstrated his ability to successfully integrate and lead multiple service lines,” says Lewis C. Horne, executive managing director of CBRE's Greater Los Angeles and Orange County region. “He has made tremendous contributions to our asset-services business in Southern California over the last three years, and his proven leadership will be a great addition to our Universal City and Ventura offices.”

Josker says the leadership and people at CBRE are “second to none. I feel extremely fortunate to be part of a world-class organization that provides a platform for personal and professional growth. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the North Los Angeles region and work with its elite professionals.”

As GlobeSt.com reported last week, buying properties at less than 70% of what it would cost to build them is attracting Asian office investors here, Anthony DeLorenzo and Paul Jones, investment brokers for CBRE, tell GlobeSt.com. To many foreign investors, buying in Orange County is a bargain compared to some other major West Coast markets.
