NEW YORK CITY-There has been a changing of the guard so to speak in the city's five boroughs with four new Borough Presidents now in office. At a forum on Tuesday the five borough presidents discussed everything from selling air rights in Brooklyn to determining the future of Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

The forum, hosted by Crain's New York Business, featured Queens Borough President Melinda Katz who called for a "real process" with more public input for planned developments at Flushing Meadow Park and Willets Point, as well as better transportation services to the Rockaways.

Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer said the future of Madison Square Garden still needs to be determined. She added that her office will be involved in helping map out the future of an 80,000-square-foot site in East Harlem that she would like to see be used for affordable housing.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams suggested the city could sell air rights in the borough with the proceeds used for land banks to finance affordable housing. See story in Crain's New York Business.
