BETHESDA, MD-Carr Properties has topped out 4500 East West Hghwy, putting the 220,400-square foot office well on its way to a summer 2014 delivery date.

The nine-story building is pre-certified as LEED Platinum and, with its so-called glass box façade promises to be a distinctive presence in Bethesda. Features include a 4,500-square-foot rooftop terrace, more than 13,000 square feet of street-level retail set above four levels of below-grade parking. It will be the first trophy office to deliver in this submarket for a decade.

Transwestern's Phillip McCarthy, Keith Foery and Jovi McAndrew are the leasing agents for this project. Clark Construction is the builder.

In 2012 Carr Properties secured a $57-million construction loan from Wells Fargo. Around that time president and CEO Oliver Carr told GlobeSt.com that should pencil in at less than $500 per square foot.
