WASHINGTON, DC-Lately it seems the local brokers have been adding expertise to their ranks. The last several days a number of announcements have been made that are worth visiting as well.

At CBRE, Ryan Sciullo joined its National Retail Investment Group here as First Vice President. Sciullo specializes in retail investment sales in the Mid-Atlantic Region and will be responsible for developing client relationships, strategy and marketing. He will partner with Bill Kent and Gary Lawrence. In a prepared statement Kent said the group was expanding in anticipation of growth in this sector.

Prior to joining the Washington, DC office, Sciullo spent eight years as a member of the CBRE Investment Properties Private Capital Group in Pittsburgh.

The Ezra Co., has named Gary Glatter senior vice president in the company's Tysons Corner office.

Glatter, specializes in providing corporate real estate services to a wide variety of businesses and organizations. He was previously a practicing real estate attorney, the CEO of a real estate development and management company, and he also led two companies through initial public offerings as their CEO and president.

Most recently, before joining The Ezra Co., Glatter served as a senior director in Northern Virginia for Cushman & Wakefield. Prior to that, he was a senior managing director in D.C. for Newmark Knight Frank.

EDGE Commercial Real Estate has appointed Erik Pedersen a senior associate at the Bethesda-based firm.

Formerly with JLL in Bethesda, Pedersen will join EDGE's landlord and tenant advisory teams.
