MA Healthcare Firm Takes 90K SF in HQ Relocation

BILLERICA, MA-Insulet Corp., a maker of tubeless insulin pumps, is relocating its corporate headquarters from Bedford, MA to a 90,000 square-foot facility at 600 Technology Park Drive here. The new office facility will accommodate the company's recent and projected growth following release of the new, smaller OmniPod insulin pump.

CEO Duane DeSisto says the relocation to larger quarters is “a testament to the success and growth Insulet has experienced since its founding in 2000. With high demand for the new OmniPod and continued development of new management tools for people with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, we are excited to find a location that fits our growing needs.” 

Approximately 500 employees of both Insulet and its wholly owned subsidiary, Neighborhood Diabetes, will relocate from Bedford to Billerica later this year. 600 Technology Park is part of the Gutierrez Cos.' master-planned, 70-acre Technology Park office park.

Cassidy Turley Boston represented both Insulet and Gutierrez in leasing negotiations. “Insulet's new location at 600 Technology Park will be an asset to both the company and its employees,” says Michael P. Dalton, senior managing director and principal of CTB, who led the tenant-rep team. “The building's amenities will offer employees a comfortable and convenient place to spend their work days, and the complex will allow Insulet to continue to expand dynamically.”

Dalton's team also included senior managing director and principal Brian Hines and managing director Al Woods. On the landlord side, CTB senior managing director and principal Duncan Gratton provided representation. Doug Fainelli, VP of operations with Gutierrez, and his colleague Jason Denoncourt, project manager also worked on the Gutierrez team.  Visnick and Caulfield Associates Inc. will be providing architectural and engineering services.
