TYSONS CORNER, VA-Kettler and PS Business Parks are partnering to build a luxury mixed-use apartment building here at 7915 Jones Branch Dr. The two companies have filed an application with Fairfax County to develop the project, which will offer between 275 and 400 units. Dirt is expected to move on the project by late 2015.
The development will offer studios as well as one, two and three luxury apartments and front Jones Branch Drive. There will be a small public park as part of the project that will be managed by Kettler. The park is expected to lead to a larger public recreation area in the future.
Last May PS Business Parks reclassified 7915 Jones Branch Dr.-a class B, 135,296-square foot office-to "land and building held for development" in anticipation of a future project.
At the time, CityBizList reported that PS Business Parks would renovate the property into a Class A building "after the firm signs an anchor tenant for approximately 60,000 square feet."
The project's architect is Design Collective Inc., an Baltimore-based architectural firm. Parker Rodriguez Inc. has been named landscape architect, and VIKA will serve as civil engineer. Kettler will seek LEED certification.
