DULLES, VA-Lerner Enterprises announced plans to build a new project within The Corporate Office Park at Dulles Town Center. It will be called Nokes Plaza and at 56,000 square feet will serve as a mixed-use office, medical and retail complex. There will be four buildings totaling 56,000 square feet as well as two pad sites.
Construction will begin this summer and is scheduled to deliver in the fall of 2015.
"Nokes Plaza, when complete, will add much needed medical, office and service oriented retail options for the thousands of residents and office workers within Dulles Town Center," Mark D. Lerner, a principal of Lerner, says in a prepared statement.
The Polleo Group of Reston, VA designed the project. Gittleson Zuppas Commercial Realty, of Bethesda, MD, is leading the medical and office leasing and Lerner is marketing the retail leasing.
This is hardly the only addition Lerner is making to Dulles Town Center. The company is in the process of adding several amenities including:
- A new Loudoun County Route 28 Commuter Parking Lot located at the intersection of Atlantic Blvd. and Dulles Center Blvd. It will initially include 100 parking spaces, multiple bus bays and shelters, benches, plus bicycle racks and lockers, with the potential to expand to 300 spaces. Loudoun County Transportation will provide commuter bus service. The lot will deliver in summer 2014.
- Vestals Gap Park, a 7.7-acre park located near Dulles Center Blvd. and Century Blvd. along Route 28. It is in the process of being dedicated to Loudoun County Parks and Recreation.
- Pedestrian improvements to connect the mixed-use Dulles Town Center to the outside community at the intersection of Route 7 and City Center Blvd. These include 1900 feet of new sidewalk along City Center Blvd.
