WASHINGTON, DC—Technology startup companies are reportedly going to be provided a financial boost by the district.

The administration of D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray is poised to announce a new fund to aid fledgling tech firms and establish a stretch of Northwest D.C. as a “technology corridor,” according to the Washington Business Journal.

The fund would be part of Mayor Gray's Digital District initiative geared at establishing the district as a hub for startup companies. The program is expected to be officially introduced at a March 5 launch event at WeWork's Wonder Bread Factory space. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
