CHICAGO—Social media company Twitter is reportedly relocating operations to 16,000 square feet on the 10th floor at 111 N. Canal St. here.
The West Loop building is home to a number of other tech companies including Braintree Inc., a payment-processing software company, and GoHealth LLC, which runs an insurance-comparison website. Gogo Inc., which provides in-flight Wi-Fi, plans to move into the building later this year, according to Crain's Chicago Business.
Brad Keown, who oversees the central region sales teams for Facebook, says the company's need for additional space has been driven by advertising demand. “Chicago is a top media market, and there are a lot of advertisers in the (consumer packaged goods) space,” he says.
San Francisco-based Twitter has been expanding in Chicago ever since it went public last year. See story in Crain's Chicago Business.
