BALTIMORE, MD-Actor Woody Harrelson and John Dwyer, founder of Capital Funding Group Inc. have acquired the boutique hotel The Inn at the Black Olive for $4.5 million.
The duo acquired the 12-suite hotel in the Fells Point section of the city from First Mariner Bank, which repossessed the property at auction for $3.9 million in June 2013, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
Dimitris Spiliadis will continue to manage the 12-suite boutique hotel, according to Ed Powell, managing director of CFG Capital Markets. Harrelson became familiar with the property when he stayed at the inn for several months in 2011 while filming the HBO movie “Game Change,” Powell notes.
The transaction does not include the nearby Black Olive restaurant, which the Spiliadis family continues to control. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
