BROOKLINE, MA—Boston Development Group, the Newtown, MA-based developer, has proposed another revised plan for the shuttered Cleveland Circle Cinema here.

The developer is now looking to scale back the overall project to 218,520 square feet and lower the number of hotel rooms to 162. The firm also intends to reduce the amount of retail space to 14,000 square feet. The 92 apartment units it intends to develop would be the same as its most recent plan for the property, according to the Boston Business Journal.

The revised plan for the property is the second revision the firm has made from its original plan in 2011 that called for the demolition of the cinema that closed in 2008 and the adjacent Applebees to make way for a pair of five-story buildings, including a 196-room Hilton Garden.

The Boston Redevelopment Authority has scheduled a community meeting for 6 p.m. on April 1 at the Alexander Hamilton School in Brighton to discuss the latest Cleveland Circle Cinema redevelopment plan. See story in the Boston Business Journal.
