FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—After reaching some key construction milestones, including the recent official topping off and placement of the last steel beam 30 days ahead of schedule, developer American Land Ventures says it is now focused on completing its 18-story luxury Vu | New River rental apartment development here by the fourth quarter of this year.

American Land Ventures is developing the 209-unit project in a joint venture with MetLife Real Estate Investors. The Vu |New River rental development will be the third phase of American Land Ventures' New River development, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

In 2001, American Land built what is now known as Las Olas by the River, a 240-unit apartment development that later were converted to condominiums. In 2006, American Land completed Nu River Landings, a 409-unit condo project.

“VU's ideal location on the New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale merges the serene beach scene with an upbeat metropolitan lifestyle,” says Tammy Britton, executive director for American Land Ventures. “Aside from the amazing amenities and a' la mode touches throughout the building, residents will definitely enjoy living only a few minutes away from the popular shopping, restaurants, and nightlife of Las Olas Boulevard.”

Among the planned amenities include an exclusive rooftop clubroom with panoramic city views; full-body circuit fitness center with CrossFit components, TRX equipment, and cardio equipment connected to social media; an outdoor movie theater; an infinity edge lap pool; a coffee bar and valet parking.
