SPARTANSBURG, SC—Frigoglass North America has retained brokerage firm Binswanger as the exclusive agent for the sale or lease of its industrial building at 700-A Buffington Road here.
The 322,810-square-foot building is located on 19.87 acres. Binswanger officials say the firm is aggressively marketing the property to manufacturers of fabricated metal, machinery, electrical equipment/appliance/components and motor vehicle body and trailer, as well as wholesale trade users and all local and regionally based companies.
The hiring of Binswanger comes on the heels of the Athens, Greece-based company announcement on Jan. 27 to discontinue manufacturing operations at its Spartansburg plant. The company stated that manufacturing operations at the plant was expected to cease at the end of the first quarter and was based on its decision to change its operating model in the US and focus on the commercial activities of sales, marketing, distribution and servicing. The Spartansburg plant manufactured and serviced coolers for the North American market.
Frigoglass is a strategic partner to beverage brands throughout the world. It is global leader in the ice-cold merchandisers market and the principal supplier of glass packaging in the high growth markets of West Africa.
Key features of the building that fronts the I-85 Business Loop at Exit 3 include ceiling heights ranging from 14' to 31'; 15 tailgate loading docks; four drive-in doors, 25' x 50' column spacing; a reinforced concrete floor; masonry and pre-engineered insulated metal walls; membrane over insulated steel deck and insulated pre-engineered roof; all utilities; a 100% fire sprinkler coverage; approximately 12,000 square feet of office space; one 15-ton DeMag bridge crane; and parking for 510 vehicles.
