DETROIT—REDICO, a national real estate development, investment, construction and property management company headquartered in suburban Southfield, has just hired Jacqueline Trost as its new director of marketing. Trost has more than 13 years of marketing, branding, public relations and communications experience, company officials say.

The 50-year-old REDICO recently made a mark in the Chicago area. As reported in GlobeSt.com earlier this year, the company successfully completed the purchase of 10 S. Dearborn, a historic 11-story downtown tower. According to Cook County property records, the firm paid $10.5 million.

REDICO is affiliated with both American House Senior Living Communities and Continuum Services, a full-service, single-source building maintenance and facility services company.

Trost will take responsibility for REDICO's strategic marketing, branding and communications initiatives. She will report to Dale Watchowski, president and chief executive officer at REDICO and American House, and chairman and chief executive officer at Continuum.

Just before joining REDICO, Trost served as director of public relations at Farmington Hills, MI-based Village Green, one of the nation's largest and oldest privately-owned developer, owner and manager of luxury apartment communities. She has also held key marketing and communications positions at Trinity Senior Living Communities, the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Detroit Medical Center.
