ROSSLYN, VA—The JBG Cos., the developer of the planned Central Place office tower, is reportedly in advanced lease negotiations with The Corporate Executive Board.
If talks are successful, CEB would be the anchor tenant for JGB's 31-story office tower at Central Place. A lease deal with the company that provides industry research and reports to executive clients would likely trigger construction of the 521,000-square-foot building at 1201 Wilson Blvd, according to the Washington Business Journal. CEB's current headquarters is located at the Waterview building nearby at 1919 N. Lynn St.
The published report states that the company has eliminated Monday Properties' 35-story tower at 1812 N. Moore St. from consideration. Construction on the 580,000-square-foot building was completed last year on the vacant office tower. JBG Cos. began construction on the first phase of Central Place, a residential tower, on April 23.
Central Place is a nearly 1 million-square-foot, mixed-use development. The residential tower, which is a JBG joint venture with the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, will offer 377 units and more than 25,000 square feet of retail space. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
