COLUMBIA, MD—Howard County has entered an agreement to acquire the former Columbia Flier building here and plans to relocate the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship to the nearly 30,000-square-foot property.

The county is looking to purchase the two-story building at 10750 Little Patuxent Parkway for $2.8 million from Baltimore Sun parent company Tribune Co.

The entrepreneurship center provides support services and workspace for entrepreneurs and early stage companies. The center will move from its current offices on Bendix Road once renovations to its new space are complete. Its existing office will be used for other county operations, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

The former Columbia Flier building is one of two Baltimore-area properties Tribune has been looking to sell. The Aegis' office, a 42,000-square-foot building in Bel Air, is also for sale. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
