RALEIGH, NC—Real estate investment firm Grubb Properties of Charlotte, NC and development partner The Kalikow Group of Westbury, NY report they have commenced construction on its Link Apartments Glenwood South apartment development here.
The 204-unit community in downtown Raleigh's Glenwood South entertainment corridor is Grubb Properties' third of its nationally Link apartments brand catered to urban dwellers, particularly the millennial generation, seeking to live near employment and lifestyle amenities, company officials say. Link Apartments Manchester in Richmond, VA opened in 2013 and Link Apartments Brookstown is opening in Winston-Salem, NC this summer.
Link Apartments Glenwood South is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2015. Planned amenities at the development include: a fitness center, cycle center, dog park, pool, clubroom and outdoor recreation area.

Grubb completed the purchase in late April of the 1.27-acre site at the intersection of North West Street and West Jones Street.
