LOWER GWYNEDD, PA—Whole Foods is planning to relocate its store in North Wales to a new location at the Springhouse Village Shopping Center here in Montgomery County.
The grocer has signed a lease of 45,000 square feet with shopping center owner Stolz Real Estate of Bala Cynwyd, PA, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. The new Whole Foods location at 1111 Bethlehem Pike will serve as the anchor to the shopping center, which was built in 1972. A portion of the shopping center is reportedly slated for redevelopment.
The new store is about twice the size of its existing location at 1210 Bethlehem Pike where it has been operating since 1996. Its new location at the Springhouse Village Shopping Center is expected to be open by late 2015. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
