WASHINGTON, DC—Four firms have submitted proposals to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority to redevelop parcels near the Brookland-CUA Metro station.

Each of the proposals calls for the development of about 200 residential units or higher. Metro has offered two parcels totaling about two acres for redevelopment, both immediately east of the Metro facility. One property is located to the north of Bunker Hill Road NE and the other to the south.

Metro has asked each bidder to replace the 35-space Kiss and Ride lot and to preserve the existing Brookland Green, according to the Washington Business Journal.

MRP Realty has proposed 280 residential units; Donatelli Development's vision calls for 250 units, many located above a new, 34,500-square-foot Harris Teeter to be located between Bunker Hill Road and Michigan Avenue NE; A&R Development and Urban Atlantic are planning 195 units; while Four Points' plan, if approved, would involve the development of 256 housing units and 6,800 square feet of retail.
