ATLANTA—FT Realty Capital Principal Telly Fathaly has left the Atlanta-based firm to join Cushman & Wakefield's Atlanta office as a director in its Equity, Debt & Structured Finance practice.

Fathaly, who has extensive commercial real estate financing expertise, will focus on the Cushman & Wakefield's multifamily practice, which includes raising debt as well as arranging preferred equity, mezzanine debt, financing and joint-venture equity for multifamily real estate assets in markets across the Southeast U.S., company officials state.

“Telly brings an excellent track record of providing creative financing solutions as well as joint-venture capital formation services to a broad range of clients. He'll play a crucial role at C&W as we grow our multifamily financing platform in the Southeast,” says Mike Ryan, senior managing director in Cushman & Wakefield's Equity, Debt & Structured Finance practice in Atlanta.

Fathaly was a principal at FT Realty Capital for nearly four years, providing private equity advisory and capital formation services to owners, operators and developers of commercial real estate. Previously, he served as vice president at Sterling Real Estate Capital, where he provided commercial real estate investment banking and private equity advisory services; as director of acquisitions at International Capital Partners; and acquisitions manager at Montecito Investments.
