CAMDEN, NJ—Philadelphia-based Iron Stone Strategic Capital Partners is planning to build its first project here—a new $17-million apartment complex on South Broadway.
The firm is harnessing $6.2 million in tax credits from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority for the planned Cooper Village Apartments community. The 59-unit apartment development will be built at 400-434 S. Broadway, across from the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The development, which will offer market rate housing to medical students and others affiliated with the nearby school, will be built on a number of derelict properties.
“This project will make a huge impact on that commercial corridor,” says Jason Friedland, director of operations at Iron Stone. “Even though the site isn't deep, it will have a huge impact.” See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
