RESTON, VA—TIAA-CREF has reportedly paid approximately $98 million for the Plaza America Shopping Center here.
The New York City based firm acquired the 162,687-square-foot property from Angelo Gordon & Co. and Atlantic Realty Co. for $97.5 million, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The property at Sunset Hills Road and Plaza America Drive is anchored by Whole Foods, which recently renewed its lease at the property for 15 years. The shopping center is currently 93% leased.
Earlier this month TIAA-CREF acquired the mixed-use development at Louis at 14th from the JBG Cos. for a purchase price of more than $170 million. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
