HOUSTON—RealNex, a software and data solutions company formed by the Pavonis Group, has launched the first phase of integration for its recently acquired product suite. As GlobeSt.com reported exclusively in May, the new platform initially is comprised of three components, which now include the "live" version of Real Estate Assistant, a customer relationship management tool designed expressly for the commercial brokerage industry. RealNex demonstrated its new integrated suite at RealComm 2014, an international convention of real estate technology and communications professionals held last week in Las Vegas.
REA's capabilities were highlighted as part of a live demonstration at the Pavonis Group's RealComm booth. Among its features are event scheduling, report and brochure creation and a contract/company database.
REA users can also auto sync to Microsoft Office and track and link deals, listings, properties, buyers, sellers, tenants, spaces and comps. The new "live" version enables those who use the desktop product to take their data on the road with read-only access from mobile devices.
"This is the first step in moving REA to the cloud,” says RealNex CEO Jefftey Finn, who conducted live demonstrations at RealComm. "The opportunity to take this technology to the next level is a significant step for REA and the commercial real estate industry itself. RealComm was a great opportunity to allow us to present this to others in the industry and further emphasize the integration of technology and commercial real estate."
Finn, formerly CEO of NAI Global until its 2012 acquisitions by C-III Capital Partners, told GlobeSt.com last month that Pavonis Group's founding partners identified “an inefficiency” in commercial real estate with regard to “collaboration, information sharing and the adoption of technology.” The RealNex platform they devised in response also includes Property Line, a property listing and marketing system for commercial brokers; and REIWise, a real estate analysis software company that offers a proprietary “Propose to Close” solution.
Before making the acquisitions that serve as the basis of the RealNex rollout, Pavonis made strategic investments in tech-oriented companies outside the Pavonis family that can complement the RealNex platform. There will be more strategic alliances with outside organizations, Finn said last month, as well as more acquisitions to build out the RealNex platform.
