NEW YORK CITY—Jack Shulman has been named acquisitions associate with locally-based The Kalikow Group. Shulman will now be charged with underwriting prospective investments and sourcing new projects in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

Shulman's focus will be on multifamily, mixed-use, commercial and ground up development on a direct or joint venture basis. He will also be responsible for managing Kalikow Group assets that are concentrated in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas. Kalikow had been working as an associate with the company since 2013.

Prior to joining The Kalikow Group, he was a director of commercial leasing for tenants and landlords for Colliers International in New York City. His accomplishments included representing commercial landlords, and acting on behalf of tenants such as Warby Parker, Renzo Piano Building Workshop, MESA Capital, King and Wood, Sydell Group, Petrossian Paris, and X-Chang Financial Services.

Shulman, 30, completed his undergraduate degree at Muhlenberg College in 2006. He earned a Masters of Science in Real Estate Development with a concentration in Sustainable Development at NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate in 2012.

The Kalikow Group is a multifaceted source of equity for a variety of investment platforms including retail, multifamily, condominiums and single-family home development, as well as land-development for national homebuilders. To date, The Kalikow Group has invested more than $100 million of equity capital that has funded projects valued in excess of $1 billion.
