IRVINE, CA—GlobeSt.com has learned exclusively that Alan Clifton, VP for Passco Cos. LLC, has been appointed western divisional operations chair for ICSC. In his new role, Clifton will represent more than 65,000 ICSC members involved in retail leasing, management, marketing and operations across 12 states throughout the western US, helping to further the education and professional certification of those members.
Clifton served as the Orange County program chair for ICSC for three years previously. “This prestigious role will provide me with the opportunity to assist ICSC chapters across the west, working together to enhance each chapter's programs, events and networking,” he says. “Accepting such a distinguished appointment with the organization is truly an honor as both an individual and a team. As a firm, Passco Cos. has the utmost respect for the ICSC organization, and we wholeheartedly support its role in the retail industry.”

As GlobeSt.com reported in June, at the recent ICSC RECon conference in Las Vegas, Passco president Larry Sullivan took a slightly more watchful approach to the retail recovery despite the undeniable optimism at the conference. Sullivan told GlobeSt.com he's waiting a bit “for the outlook to get a little firmer” before he recommits to the retail sector in a big way.
