TYSONS CORNER, VA—After acquiring the development site earlier this month, Charleston, SC-based Greystar intends to begin construction soon on a 400-unit multifamily high-rise here.
The 34-story Greystar apartment tower, to be called Elan Tysons, will also include 6,500 square feet of retail. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Greystar acquired the .8-acre site from a joint venture that includes The Georgelas Group LLC. Georgelas took that site and a number of others in the area around the Silver Line Spring Hill Metro station through the approval process with Fairfax County, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The project is one of seven planned towers Georgelas plans to build as part of the 7.8 million-square-foot Spring Hill Station development. Greystar previously acquired the site of another Spring Hill Station residential tower, with about 404 units, for $24.2 million. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
