WASHINGTON, DC—Business advisory company CEB rebuffed advances from the State of North Carolina and instead will relocate its Arlington corporate headquarters to 15 floors at JBG Cos. development at 1201 Wilson Blvd here.

The company will occupy 350,000-square feet at the Central Place development that will include a 31-story office building, a 377-unit residential tower, a public observation deck, a plaza and ground-level retail, according to the Washington Post. CEB's offices will be located on the eighth through 20th floors and its conference center will occupy the 29th and 30th floors.

The State of Virginia has approved $9.5 million in incentives, while Arlington County ponied up another $4.5 million to keep CEB in the state. In return, CEB will invest $149.7 million in the Rosslyn project. The company plans to move into its new offices in 2018.

“Our keen interest in retaining CEB here was over 2,000 high-paid jobs,” says Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe said in an interview. “And we get a new global headquarters, which there will be synergies to bring in other businesses around this move.” CEB intends to add 800 jobs in the commonwealth of Virginia.
