BOSTON—Virginia Kerrigan is bringing her seven years commercial real estate experience to her father's firm—Avison Young.

Kerrigan, the daughter of Avison Young Principal Jack Kerrigan, has joined the firm as an associate. Her hiring was announced by Michael Smith, principal and managing director of Avison Young's Boston office.

Kerrigan previously worked with Grubb and Ellis, Charles River Realty, LLC and Keller Augusta Partners. As an associate at Keller Augusta Partners, Virginia Kerrigan worked in a variety of disciplines including real estate development, recruitment and brokerage services. At Avison Young, she will be focused on tenant and landlord representation in the suburban office and industrial markets and will work alongside Avison Young Principals Jack Kerrigan, Steve Cook and Keith Gurtler.

“We are excited to welcome Virginia to Avison Young as part of our plan for continued strategic growth,” says Smith. “Her experience in the real estate industry, vast client network and goal-oriented personality will make her a valuable addition to the Boston office. Following in her father's footsteps, she will carry on a family tradition of excellence in real estate through hard work and superior client service.”
