SACRAMENTO, CA—CRE veteran Steve Tyrrell has joined the brokerage team of Voit Real Estate Service's Sacramento office as a senior vice president. He will focus on investment sales.

Tyrrell brings more than 32 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry to Voit. Prior to joining Voit, he was with NAI Aguer Havelock where he quickly rose to become one of the top investment agents in the entire NAI Global Company. He moved to NAI after being one of the top investment specialists in the Private Capital Markets Nation Practice Group at Grubb & Ellis which marked his second stint with the company. Tyrrell also worked with Buzz Oates Group of Companies for 12 years where he directed and managed the sale of office, industrial and retail properties for one of the largest developers in California.
Throughout his career in commercial real estate, Tyrrell has sold more than $800 million of office, industrial and retail investment properties throughout California, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado and has represented some of the largest institutional investors in the United States.
In 1993 he earned the prestigious “CCIM” designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, which he still carries proudly. Currently he is a member of ICSC, Northern California Commercial Association of Realtors, Northern California CCIM Chapter 1 and the Association of Commercial Real Estate.
Tyrrell graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and was a two-year All American in swimming, a NCAA Champion, an American Record Holder and World Ranked in the 100 meter freestyle. Steve serves his community through volunteer work with several local charities, as well as being on the American Cancer Society Leadership Team.
