WALTHAM, MA—Developer Boston Properties reports it has leased 150,000 square feet of office space to Wolverine Worldwide at 10 CityPoint, part of the next phase of its major mixed-use office and retail project here.
The new building will serve as the headquarters for Wolverine's Sperry Top-Sider, Saucony, Keds, and Stride Rite brands.
The lease deal will allow Boston Properties to commence construction of the 10 CityPoint project, which will be located on Route 128 at the exit 27 interchange. When completed the building will be seen by more than 400,000 cars per day, providing great visibility for the Wolverine family of brand, company officials say. The project also includes street level retail and restaurant options and 230,000 square feet of high performance workspace.
“We've taken the best of what we've learned at great urban projects like Atlantic Wharf, Prudential Center, and Reston Town Center and incorporated it into this development to provide great space and great place for this vibrant customer,” says Bryan Koop, senior vice president and regional manager of Boston Properties. “Our most progressive customers are using space and place to nurture their culture and grow their business.10 CityPoint combines sought after restaurant and retail options, high performance workspace, and a highly-visible location to create a perfect fit for Wolverine.”
Executive Managing Director, Principal John Boyle, Senior Vice President Michael O'Leary and Associate Kevin McNamara of Cassidy Turley and Randy Tarnow of Mohr Partners represented Wolverine in the transaction. David Provost, senior vice president, Richard Monopoli, vice president, and Matthew Murray, leasing representative, were in-house representatives for Boston Properties.
Boston Properties also reports it has signed leases with Posto and Bonefish Grill at CityPoint. The two restaurants will be located in a new restaurant hub with prominent visibility from Route 128. Posto was represented by Jonathan Martin, vice president at Colliers International.
