BALTIMORE—The opening night of the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore drew more than 15,000 patrons, which by far exceeded the casino's estimates.

The Tuesday opening night crowd exceeded the casino's expectation of 10,000 attendees, according to Horseshoe Casino General Manager Chad Barnhill. Lines wrapped around the casino and stretched down several blocks, and customers waited until after midnight to get through the doors, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

By Wednesday morning, the South Baltimore gaming facility was still pretty busy, “We're getting a great flow of individuals coming back through,” Barnhill said. “We've got a fairly full floor right now.”

Motown entertainer Gladys Knight, rap artist Iggy Azalea and DJ Pauly D of the “Jersey Shore” performed at the casino's opening night. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
