NEW YORK CITY—IVI International, a construction risk management firm and due diligence provider, has moved several of its key enhanced equity services in-house.

Reviews of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, accessibility compliance, seismic risk, and structural and civil engineering review of building structure and infrastructure—key components most  often handled by out-of-office consultants—have now shifted in-house, making for a more cohesive approach to risk based due diligence.

The augmented Property Condition Reports generated by IVI's growing roster of in-house professionals offer potential owners and investors—such as foreign investors, pension funds, private equity groups, hedge funds—the certainty they need for their particular risk tolerance level prior to entering into negotiations.

Among  the professionals moved in-house are senior project managers Doug McCall, Radu Dumitrescu and Michael Montgomery, as well as Scott Adan, director of seismic assessment services.

“These days, there is more at stake than ever before for potential investors in commercial real estate,” says Robert Occhiogrossi, VP and director—technical services at IVI International. “Knowledge is power, and by drawing on an expanded in-house team for more and more of these services, IVI is able to provide just that—the power to make informed investment decisions.”
