BALTIMORE—Questar Properties Inc., which plans to build an “ultra luxury” apartment tower at the Inner Harbor, could break ground on the venture before the end of this year.

CEO Stephen Gorn says he does not believe securing financing for the 44-story project at 414 Light St. will be an issue, according to the Baltimore Business Journal. Gorn is "very confident” that sufficient financing will be available "I've talked to lenders who have interest in it so I don't have a reservation on that," he says.

Pikesville-based Questar also believes there is sufficient demand for luxury units at the Inner Harbor.

"We've done internal and third-party market studies that enthusiastically supported our particular location," Gorn says. "There's a diversity of people" willing to pay top dollar for luxury apartments on the waterfront.  See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
