SALISBURY, MD—Locally-based Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Inc. reports it has inked four new management contracts for hotel properties in the state of New Jersey.
The firm will now manage the 225-room Sheraton Mahwah in Mahwah, the 138-room Ramada in Wayne, the 42-room and suite Madison Avenue Beach Club Hotel and the 35-room and suite The Jetty Motel, both located in the resort town of Cape May.
“Our portfolio has a considerable concentration in the Mid-Atlantic region, giving us a sharper insight on the market drivers in the area and certain economies of scale, which we are able to extend to independent and traditional, family operated beach hotels," says Mike Marshall, president and CEO of Marshall Hotels & Resorts. “With each of these hotels, there is a tremendous opportunity to add value for the owners and guests alike."
The former Wayne Fairbridge Suites will undergo minor renovations to convert to the Ramada flag and will be rebranded the Wayne Ramada Fairfield Area hotel.
The Madison Ave. Beach Club and the Jetty Motel join nine other independent and family-owned hotels in resort and beachfront communities in Marshall's portfolio. The hotels are owned by the Demutis family, third-generation real estate developers who have called Cape May their second home for nearly 75 years.
