VIRGINIA BEACH, VA—New Castle Hotels & Resorts announced on Wednesday that Sam Peraza has been named general manager of the 122-suite Homewood Suites Virginia Beach here.
Peraza comes to his new position after serving as general manager of the Homewood Suites in Williamsburg, VA, where his hotel was the top performing hotel in its category for two consecutive years, according to the STAR report. Peraza began his career with the Hampton Inn and Suites in Williamsburg and was named manager of the year twice at the Omni Newport News Hotel where he was the director of sales and marketing.
"Sam has everything we look for in a general manager," says Gerry Chase, president and COO of Shelton, CT-based New Castle Hotels & Resorts, in making the hiring announcement. "He has direct experience in the market, and a great track record of top and bottom line results. I know that his strong sales and marketing background will be a great complement to the existing sales team at this hotel."

The Homewood Suites Virginia Beach at 5733 Cleveland St. features an indoor pool and fitness center, meeting space that serves as many as 100 people, and is located six miles from Norfolk International Airport
