WASHINGTON, DC—The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee passed federal government real estate prospectuses for 2015 that include a number of large space requirements.
Among the larger requirements passed by the committee on Wednesday is a prospectus for the Department of Education for up to 290,000 square feet after the agency lost out on the Mary Switzer Building, according to the Washington Business Journal.
Another prospectus that should attract significant landlord interest is a requirement for the Department of State for up to 343,000 square feet in Arlington County.
The T&I Committee also approved a replacement lease of up to 155,755 square feet for the FBI in connection with a consolidation program involving leases in Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Howard counties. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
