HANOVER, MD—New York City-based hotelier MCR Development LLC reports it has completed significant upgrades to two of its properties here.
The firm states that it has completed renovations to the Hampton Inn & Suites Arundel Mills/Baltimore and the Residence Inn Arundel Mills/BWI Airport, located at 7027 Arundel Mills Circle and 7035 Arundel Mills Circle respectively. The renovations involved significant upgrades to both the lobby areas and guestrooms. MCR Development did not divulge the cost of the renovations in its announcement.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Arundel Mills/Baltimore features 130 rooms and a new updated lobby and new “warm and cool tones” in the guestrooms and public spaces. The 131-room Residence Inn Arundel Mills/BWI Airport boasts newly redesigned guestrooms complete with full kitchens, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. In addition, soft earth tones were used throughout the lobby and guestrooms.
The upgrades to both hotels are part of MCR's strategy to drive RevPAR growth through its ongoing renovation program. On Sept. 25, the company announced it had completed a comprehensive renovation of the 105-room Courtyard Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, TX. The renovation there involved a major redesign of the hotel's guestrooms, lobby, bistro and public areas.
MCR Development manages a portfolio of 71 premium-branded hotel properties with approximately 8,500 rooms in 18 states. MCR operates hotels under 10 brands.
