WASHINGTON, DC—A source has confirmed for GlobeSt.com that View at Waterfront has traded for $67.3 million. The news first was reported in Bisnow last week.
The mid-rise apartment building, located at 1000-1100 6th St., SW, was sold by Related Fund Management, the fund management unit of the REIT Related Cos. at $262,695 per unit. The 256-unit complex consists of two buildings that were developed in 1963. The last time the property traded was in May 2011 for $43.1 million.
The buyer is a JV between Mill Creek Residential and John Hancock. HFF and CBRE brokered the deal. The buyer is planning renovations for the complex.
