ST. AUGUSTINE, FL—MCR Development LLC reports that it has completed significant upgrades to its Hampton Inn & Suites St. Augustine-Vilano Beach here.
The New York City-based hotel owner-operator states that renovations at the 94-room hotel entailed significant upgrades to the hotel's lobby, guestrooms, fitness center and pool area.
The newly redesigned lobby features a light and earthy color scheme punctuated by striking brown accent columns and vibrant blue chairs, mirroring the welcoming and inviting color pattern used throughout the upgraded guestrooms and freshly repainted exterior. An array of new soft seating options and cherry wood-topped tables are situated throughout the space, providing guests with a relaxing and comfortable environment that maintains an “Old Florida” charm. In addition, guestrooms were updated with bright and soothing wall tones, new carpeting and the addition of height-adjustable desk chairs, company officials state.
The renovation also involved modernization of the hotel's fitness center and pool area. The fitness center now includes all new Precor exercise equipment, special flooring, a full weights rack and bench and exercise ball while the pool area has been re-landscaped and includes new lounge furniture and tables, a tiki bar and a high quality, professional sound system.
MCR Development did not release a cost for the renovation initiative. The company, which also has offices in Dallas, New Jersey, and Maryland, manages a portfolio of 71 hotel properties with approximately 8,500 rooms in 18 states. MCR operates hotels under 10 brands.
