TYSONS CORNER, VA—Negotiations to bring grocer Wegmans here have broken off.
Wegmans had been talking with developer Cityline Partners to open a store on a site on Route 123. Donna P. Shafer, executive vice president at Cityline, says the firm is no longer considering a Wegmans for its Scotts Run Station South project, according to the Washington Post.
The company will now fall back to its original plan for retail, a mix of restaurants and entertainment. “We're going full steam ahead with our original plan which will have a very rich retail street with residential above,” Shafer said.
Scotts Run Station South is projected to have 6.7 million square feet of development at full build-out. See story in the Washington Post.
