SECAUCUS, NJ—Hartz Mountain Industries Inc. reports it plans build a 303,000-square-foot warehouse and/or data center at 46 Meadowland Parkway here.

The project site is where Hartz demolished two office buildings formerly occupied by Panasonic at Harmon Cove Industrial Park, according to The Record.

The Secaucus-based developer says it expects to complete the design and secure approvals for the venture by January 2015. Construction would start shortly thereafter with completion expected in the fall of next year.

"The Harmon Cove industrial vacancy rate is less than 3% and we are confident that 46 Meadowland Parkway will lease prior to completion especially due to its prime location, and the fact that New Jersey continues to draw data center facilities, e-commerce, food distribution and third-party logistic firms," says Hartz COO Emanuel Stern.
