MOUNT RAINIER, MD—The Redevelopment Authority of Prince George's County has selected The Menkiti Group for a mixed-use development at the 3300 block of Rhode Island Avenue here.
The plan calls for a mix of commercial and residential space. The Menkiti Group is hoping to finalize a land disposition agreement with the Redevelopment Authority and expects to begin construction on the $4-million project in mid-2015, according to the Washington Business Journal.
"We're based in Brookland, we've been here for 10 years, but we have been wanting to do something in Prince George's for a while," Menkiti Group vice president of development Mark Rengel says. "We're looking to have this project be one of many in the neighborhood."
The plan calls for the restoration of three properties that will feature about 12 residential units and 10,000 square feet of commercial space. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
