PORTLAND—Development partners Holland Partner Group and Amstar have begun groundwork on a 320,795 square foot distribution center in the Airport Way industrial submarket of Northeast Portland. The project, known as the Cameron Distribution Center, began earthwork activities in August 2014, and is slated to begin vertical construction in January 2015.

“Holland Partner Group is excited to bring an industrial project to the Portland market.  We believe that the timing is right for a new institutional quality industrial-distribution building, given the growth in market demand from local tenants”, said Tom Parsons, president of Holland Development.

The property is located at the corner of Northeast Cameron Boulevard and Northeast 166th Avenue, with immediate access to Interstate 205 and Interstate 84.  The 320,795-square-foot double loaded building will feature 32-foot clear height, an ESFR sprinkler system, 77 dock loading doors, 116 auto parking spaces and ample trailer parking. The space is divisible into areas as small as 75,000 square feet and is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2015.

“The Cameron Distribution Center is well positioned for success,” says listing broker, Tom Talbot, Kidder Mathews. “The timing of this project couldn't be better. The vacancy rates in Airport Way are very low, tenant demand is high and market rents are increasing. The 20 acre site is extremely well located, the building design is a unique cross load configuration, and it has all of the modern building features that tenants demand.”
